"Sebata: The Beast" is a psychological thriller that follows aging detective Mzi and his young, skeptical partner, Kgoro, as they investigate the brutal killings of young children. Though the murders appear to be linked to the sinister witch-doctor Banda, rumours of a mythical beast (the Tokoloshi) cast a dark shadow over the case. Haunted by his mother's mysterious death, Kgoro is torn between his disbelief in the supernatural and the terrifying reality unfolding before him.
